Thriller Idea Feedback From Potential Audience (Jack Zabaroff, Jared Rand, Ethan Rand, Yoni Doani)

We told our thriller idea to a number of people, some boys and some girls. This enabled us to get feedback on our idea from potential target audience members. This meant that we could use some suggestions and include them in our thriller to make sure it matches conventions of thrillers and supports what the audience want.

Feedback 1 - Ethan says he thinks that the camera angles are extremely in pulling off the complex narrative. We took this advice on and made sure we had correct camera shots that will match conventions of a thriller. For example, before the victim is killed in 'Goodfellas' there is a low angle wide shot which helps connote this to the audience, therefore we will add this in as it matches conventions of a thriller.

Feedback 2 - Bower agrees with the idea that the victim should not be shown, but just killed as this puts emphasis on the mafia and each kill is just a number to them off their list not a person. This told us that in our thriller we must stick to this as its all about the mafia, not so much who each person is that they are killing.

Feedback 3 - Rachel likes the idea that we will have a voiceover instead of any conversation inside the car. She suggested that it will make the thriller a lot more dramatic as the non-diegetic sound and and diegetic car noises will be the main source of sound up until the victim is killed. As she is an audience member we understand that this was an important idea to stick to as if she really liked this idea, our other audience members will as well.

Feedback 4 - Sam mentioned how the secluded, dark location of where the main part is set is good as it matches conventions of a thriller and therefore will be an important part in attracting audience members.

Feedback 5 - Oli solely loves the idea and as a potential target audience member it is very positive that they like the idea so they will be intrigued to see the film.
