Deepwater Horizon:
- The ocean takes up just under a third, whereas the sky takes up over two thirds of the poster. This emphasises the magnitude of the explosion on the oil rig, how the black smoke was filling up high in the extended sky to show how much smoke was caused from this huge explosion.
- Also, the oil rig is in the bottom right, isolated in its own third to attract our eyes naturally to that third as it is clear that is the main storyline of the movie. It is also done so we are interested and our eyes stay active as if it was in the middle third it may have a lesser impact on the viewer.

- Lastly, the oil rig is in the bottom right corner and begins to emit smoke. As the smoke approaches the middle third diagonally, the smoke increases in size and volume, just like the middle third is in the centre, the smoke has reached full capacity and then blends in with the sky. The growth in smoke from the isolated oil rig at the bottom third to the massive amounts of smoke in the middle and upper third further express the magnitude of the oil rig explosion.
