The Group - One Direction
1. Introduction - 5 boys who were finalists in a national singing competition and began to attract attention and love from fans. They work in the music genre of pop.
2. How were their image established in their earlier music videos? After being signed onto Simon Cowell's record label they began to grow their synthetic group image quickly. This is presented through one of their early music videos from the song 'What Makes You Beautiful.' As they are very young and at the beginning of their careers in this video they are presented as young, fashionable and good-looking boys (to promote what teenage boys should aspire to) which is a perfect foundation for their star profile to began to build off.
3. How was that image developed later in their careers?
Their image continued develop by being trendy and fashionable to appeal to all teenagers, girls through looks and boys from their fashion. They image was developed by them being shown as best friends as they always had pictures taken together in a group. This allowed fans to connect with the whole group which allowed their star image to develop entirely as they began to grow more popular and become cooler versions of themselves as time went by.
